We started off November with an assembly about our Fun Run Fundraiser!
It was loud and lots of fun.
Each morning the ASU students come into our room
and teach us about healthy habits
It is very exciting!
On Friday we had a puppet show. It was The Little Red Hen and we loved it.
First the woman who did the show talked to us about what to expect and how to be a good audience.

We have been learning about life cycles. We are lucky to have our amazing gardens to help us. We went outside to look at the stages of
gourds, squash and pumpkins. We also looked at the bees and butterflies that were busy pollinating the plants.

We will use these photos and more to continue life cycles in our room.
We continue to learn about trees. We went on a discovery walk to look at trees on our school grounds. We smelled them, collected bark and other tree parts and took photos of all of the different trees we found.
Our pumpkin that we carved into a jack-o-lantern started out looking like this:
We read a story called Pumpkin Jack
about a pumpkin that changed after it was carved.
We recorded predictions about what we thought might happen to our pumpkin and then left it alone.
After a few days it started to change.
It was pretty yucky and smelly (as is evidenced by the plugged noses)
It got so yucky that we decided to plant it to see what will happen next.
Stay tuned!
