Here are some of our adventures:
We visited the pumpkin vines in our gardens and had our pictures taken.
After our pictures we picked peas, lettuce, spinach and radishes.

We found lots of ladybugs. This was because Mrs. Allen had a LOT of lady bugs that visited our classroom for a whole day!
When we came back in we helped make a salad. Mrs. Patchett, the garden lady, brought us a banana peppers and a few little carrots.
Some of the peas:
We got to wash the lettuce and tear it into pieces. Mrs. Patchett also brought us some different colored green beans.
We were happy Mrs. Goshert brought ranch dressing.
Most of us tried the salad and loved it!
You can see our 5 Little Pumpkin gates on our tables. we are using them for counting, adding subtracting and learning ways to make 5. We had a great time creating them and using them.
On Wednesday we had a guest speaker, Avery O from Mrs. Allen's class had her dad come in to talk to us about trees. He works with trees and other desert plants. He shared lots of information to share with us.
We got to do some special math games this week.
Placing objects on pumpkins with numbers on them.
Rolling a die and putting that many decorations on a spooky tree. Also reading cvc words on a ring.
Counting erasers and matching them up with numbered pumpkins.
Rolling a die, putting spooky fingers on to match the number we rolled and telling how many more we need to make 10.

Thursday brought Disney Day and some much awaited fun!
We rolled dice and followed directions to make pictures
with our 5th grade buddies.
When we came inside and said good bye to our buddies our room was ready for a party!
We were SO excited!!
Mrs. Hornbeak helped us with pumpkin scientific investigations.
We played bingo with Davis' mom.
We almost ran out of time for everyone to do everything - but we did it!
When we were finished we enjoyed our cookies as well as
a juice box, veggies and fruit.
Everyone was happy and we had a great time.
Thanks so much to the parents who could help and for all of the supplies that were sent in.
Thanks also for coming to conferences,
I enjoy the time with my student's families so much -
almost as much as I enjoy the students!
