THE FARM!!

We had a wonderful field trip to the farm! We were so excited and the trip lived up to our expectations!
This trip would not have been possible without the support of all of you parents!
Thanks for sending your students in prepared.
Thanks to our chaperones and the parents who were able to meet us there.
Truly, I could not have done it without you!

First, we loved riding on the bus, although it was a long ride!

First we got a class picture. Then we headed out to the field to pick veggies.  We got carrots, lettuce, turnips, beets, onions and more. We took a train ride and after that we planted corn. We then got to pet and feed the animals which was so exciting! Next we had a snack and got to explore the play areas. There were water pumps, chicks, ropes and more. It was a great time.
Here are pictures of our day. I started to organize them but am losing the battle. Please excuse them being out of order and I apologize if there are duplicates!

Some of us were very tired on the way back!

We had lunch, played and started to celebrate Read Across America/Dr. Seuss' birthday. We had an awesome snack made by Emily Grieff and had a  presentation from 3 6th graders.
It was a great day!
