It's May!

We've been very busy in May with Mother's Day,
Australia and getting ready for our show.

Here are photos of some of our other adventurers!
We've had this gourd in our classroom and watched it change since the fall. It's gotten lighter and we could hear things inside it, so we decided to crack it open.

Believe it or not, it didn't actually smell...

It was pretty interesting!

Aristidis' mom came to visit and taught us an awesome drawing game!

We each started a drawing, then someone else finished it!

We got to go see the 6th graders do their Wax Museum of historical figures.
We saw a lot of figures we recognized.

We ate cucumbers and zucchini from our gardens.

Mrs. Goshert's oldest son, Max (who used to go to Mercury Mine) came to talk to us about water safety.

He works with the Red Cross and is an Aquatics Specialist.

He taught us lots of safety rules for swimming.
The most important was not to swim without a grownup.

He showed us some of the lifesaving equipment pools and lifeguards use.

We all learned a lot and had a great time! Just look at this sweet picture!

Soon after that Mrs. Patchett showed us how to harvest the potatoes we planted.
We got an upclose look at how they grow!

Next week, water day and the end of school!
