A bit of our week!

This week when we went to Art we read "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus." We then made pictures of what WE wouldn't let the pigeon do.
We were very proud of them:

We are learning about writing numbers 0 - 5.
The other day we enjoyed writing numbers with shaving cream on our tables.

Each number has a poem that goes with it.
"Straight down until you're done, that's the way you make a 1"
"Around the track and back" for a 2
"Around the tree around the tree, that's the way you make a 3"
"Down, across and down some more, that's the way you make a 4"
"Across, down around the hive, that's the way you make a 5"

We got messy but it was worth it because we had a lot of fun while learning!

After we made our numbers we got to cover our tables
and use the shaving cream to clean them with.

We also practiced writing our names.
Shaving cream is much more fun than paper,
and it is a great sensory experience as well!

September Fun!

This week we got to plant seeds in our Kindergarten Ladybug Garden.
Mrs. Patchett is the garden lady and she helped us plant.
It was raining in the morning but we snuck our seeds in!

Some of us planted lettuce seeds - they were very tiny!

Others planted spinach. They were a little bit bigger but still small!

Since we couldn't play on the playground (it was too wet) we used sidewalk chalk for the first time. Bella wrote this special note: "I love Mrs. G.".

We learned the sight word "my" so we took photos of ourselves with an object and paired it with the word "my".
We hung our mini-sentences on our wall.
Here we are with our objects.

Here is Liam with an amazing block creation!

Today we had class pictures, we were all so cute!
We also got our pictures taken with Echo for a class book
that we will take turns bringing home.

It was a great week!
